Flying Car

For practically a century now, people have tried to develop flying cars. Through the years many have tried and many have failed, however, one company, Terrafugia, has come out on top. Terrafugia has taken the all necessary first, second and third steps in making this science fiction adornment.

Terrafugia Transition, the new 1,440-pound flying car is to aviate under a "light sport" conclusion, even though it hits the scales at a whopping 120 lbs. greater than the rules permit. A light sport pilot license only needs 20 hours of seat time - much less than what a full license would necessitate.

Frequently referred to as a "flying car," the Transition (created by Terrafugia Inc.) is a two-seat craft configured to take off and land at local airports and drive on whatever road.

The Flying Car, grouped as a private aircraft, has been created by several MIT visionaries since 2006. The flying car can safely achieve up to 100 mph on ground roads and boasts 30 miles per gallon - better than any conventional SUV or truck on the road.
